Six English Silver Spoons, Newcastle c1810
DescriptionINTERESTING SET OF CRESTED ENGLISH SILVER DESSERT SPOONS, NEWCASTLE c1810,
A Set of Six Antique, George III, English Provincial Silver Dessert Spoons, made by Christian Ker Reid, Newcastle and dating from c1810.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "CR" for Christian Ker Reid, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark and the "three castles" Newcastle town mark. The date letter is lacking, however the spoons would date from c1810.
Christian Ker Reid is recorded as working in Newcastle around c1806 - 1818.
They have the engraved initials and a nice, interesting crest (see photo)
They are in excellent condition.
