Scottish Silver Mug, Robertson, Edinburgh c1882
DescriptionAn antique, Victorian Scottish Silver Christening Mug made in Edinburgh and dating from c1882.
It is hallmarked on the base with the makers name "J. Robertson & Son, 101 Princes St., Edinburgh" alongside the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Scottish "thistle" sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh "castle" town mark and date letter "a2 for 1882/83.
The front has engraved initials.
DimensionsIt measures 3 1/2" inches (90mm) in height and 2 3/4" inches (70mm) in diameter.
