DescriptionA large Antique, Scottish Silver Gravy/Basting or Stuffing Spoon made by David Crichton Rait, Glasgow and dating from c1827.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "DCR" for David Crichton Rait, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Rampant Scottish Silver mark, the Glasgow town mark and date letter "I" for 1827/28.
It has engraved initials "McH" (see photo)
