George III, English Silver Marrow Scoop c1787
DescriptionA very good Antique Georgian English Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop made in London and dating from c1787.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GS/WF" for George Smith (III) & William Fearn, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver Mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "m" for 1787/88.
It has a very nice double armorial crest engraved - see photo.
