12 Scottish Silver Dessert Spoons, Edinburgh 1797
DescriptionA set of Twelve, George III, Scottish Silver Dessert Spoons made in Edinburgh and dating from c1797.
They are hallmarked with the Edinburgh Castle town mark, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Monarchs Head duty mark and date letters "R/Q" for 1797.
They have the maker's mark "AE" (worn) on 10 spoons, one spoon with the mark completely worn, the other with maker's mark "WE".
All twelve spoons have engraved initials (see photo)
