DescriptionA superb, rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Tablespoon made By George Elder of Banff.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GE" for George Elder, the Scottish "thistle" and the letter "B" for Banff.
George Elder is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Banff c1818 to 1843.
At just under 9" inches in length this spoon would make a very nice serving spoon.
An excellent example of a rare provincial silver spoon.
