Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon, GE Banff
DescriptionA rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon made By George Elder of Banff.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GE" for George Elder, the mother and child mark and the letter "B" for Banff.
George Elder is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Banff c1818 to 1843.
The spoon has an engraved initial.
It measures 5 1/2" inches (140mm) in length. The weight is 14.5g.
An excellent example of a rare provincial silver spoon.
