English Silver Armada Dish by Garrard & Co c1973
DescriptionA very good quality English sterling silver Armada Dish made by the famous Garrard & Co Ltd., The Crown Jewellers, 112 regent Street, London.
Garrard & Co hold the Royal Warrant, by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers.
The dish hallmarked with the maker's mark G&CoLd for Garrard & Co ltd, the lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter S for 1973/74.
The dish measures 4 3/4" inches (120mm) in diameter. The weight is 130.8g.
It is complete with the original box and packaging as supplied new by Garrard & Co. Also the original leaflet explaining the history and story of The Armada Dish.
A lovely piece of English silver that would make an excellent gift for that special occassion.
