Pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Forks, Arbroath

Pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Forks, Arbroath

DescriptionA rare pair of antique, Scottish Provincial Silver Dessert Forks made in Arbroath by Andrew Davidson and dating from c1840. Andrew Davidson is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Arbroath c1835 to 1850. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "AD" for Andrew Davidson, alongside his Arbroath marks. There have an engraved initial on the handle (see photos). They measure 6 1/2" inches (165mm) in length. The combined weight of both is 70.9g. They are in good condition, but do have some wear to the fork tines as can be expected. We always have a good selection of Scottish Provincial Silver in stock.
