Scottish Provincial Silver Clan Badge Brooch c1967
DescriptionA vintage Scottish Provincial Silver Clan Badge Brooch dating from c1967 and made by John Fraser of Inverness.
The badge with the MacBean clan crest and motto "Touch not a catt bot a targe" which means "Don't touch a cat without a shield".
The rear hallmarked with the makers mark JF and INS for Inverness alongside the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter M for 1967/68.
It measures 45mm in diameter and the weight is 23.4g.
It is in excellent condition.
