Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon, WS Banff
DescriptionA very good and rare Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon made in Banff by William Simpson and dating from c1830.
William Simpson is recorded as working in Banff c1825-1855.
The spoon has a very good set of clear marks, with the Maker's Mark "WS" for William Simpson, a letter "e", the "thistle" mark and letter "B" for Banff. It has an engraved initial.
The spoon is in very good condition.
It measures approximately 5 1/2" inches (140mm) in length. The weight is 16.4g
