Vintage Novelty Silver Scottish Piper Menu Holders
DescriptionA good quality, rare pair of novelty Sterling Silver Menu Holders in the form of Scottish Pipers made by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company in London.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "G&S Co Ltd" for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the London town mark and date letter "M" for 1947/48.
They are in very good condition, although one piper has the end section of one of the bagpipe drones missing, this minor defect could be replaced by a silversmith, however not really that noticeable in my opinion.
They measure approximately 4" inches (105mm) in height.
A lovely item for use at the dinner table on a special occasion.
