English Silver Table Snuff Box, Edward Smith c1847
DescriptionA very good quality, Antique, early Victorian English Silver Table Snuff Box made in by Edward Smith of Birmingham and dating from c1847.
The inside of the base is hallmarked with the maker's mark ES, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark and the Birmingham anchor town mark. The inside of the lid with the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the maker's mark ES and date letter "Y" for 1847/48.
The exterior of the box with lovely decorative engraving to all the sides.
The box measures 80mm x 55mm x 20mm.
The weight is 112.2g/3.95oz/3.60ozt.
