English Silver Soup Ladle, London c1770
DescriptionA good quality, antique George III, English Sterling Silver Soup Ladle made by Thomas & William Chawner.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "TC/WC" for Thomas & William Chawner, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the "Leopard's head Crowned" London town mark and date letter "P" for 1770/71.
The ladle is in excellent condition.
It measures approximately 13 3/4" inches (340mm) in length. The total weight approximately 160.3g/5.65oz/5.15ozt.
