George V, English Silver Salver Tray, London
DescriptionA good quality, George V, English Sterling Silver Salver/Tray made by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company in London.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "G&S Co Ltd" for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the London town mark and date letter "U" for 1915/16.
It is also stamped on the underside with the maker's name "Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 regent Street W. (London)".
The tray with a nice gadrooned border and supported on three feet.
It is in excellent condition.
It measures 8" inches (205mm) in diameter. The weight is 360.2g/12.70oz/11.58ozt.
