Rare Set Scottish Provincial Silver Spoons, Banff
DescriptionA very good and rare Set of Six Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoons made in Banff by William Simpson and dating from c1830.
William Simpson is recorded as working in Banff c1825-1855.
All spoons have a very good set of cleat marks, with the Maker's Mark "WS" for William Simpson, the "thistle" mark and Letter "B" for Banff. They have engraved initials.
It is relatively rare to find a good set of Banff spoons, with all spoons in good condition and clear marks.
They measure approximately 5 3/4" inches (145mm) in length. The total weight is 82.6g/2.91oz/2.65ozt.
