Victorian Scottish Silver Soup Ladle c1846
DescriptionA very good, heavy gauge, Antique, Early Victorian, Scottish Silver Soup Ladle made by David McDonald, Glasgow and dating from 1846.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "DMcD", for David McDonald, the Glagow town mark, the Scottish Lion Rampant silver mark, the date letter "B" for 1846/47 and the Monarch's Head (Queen Victoria) duty mark.
There are engraved initials on the terminal.
It measures approximately 14 1/2" inches (370mm) in length. The deep circular bowl 4" inches (105mm) in diameter.
The weight is 269.2g/9.49oz/8.65ozt
