George III, English Silver Oval Shaped Tray c1791
DescriptionA very nice Antique, George III, English Sterling Silver Tray made by John Wakelin & William Taylor in London and dating from c1791.
The tray hallmarked on the base with the maker's mark "IW/WT" for John Wakelin & William Taylor, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head London town mark and the date letter "q" for 1771/72.
The oval shaped tray is supported on four feet. There is a crest engraved to the centre.
It measures 9" inches (230mm) x 7" inches (175mm). The weight is 267.7g/9.43oz/8.60ozt.
It is in very good condition
