DescriptionA very good quality, large, heavy, Victorian English Sterling Silver Cream Jug made by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd and dating from c1896.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark for Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd , the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "a" for 1896/97.
It measures 5 1/2" inches (140mm) in width (handle to spout) and 4" inches (110mm) in height.
The weight is 259.7g/9.16oz/8.35ozt.
In excellent condition, only minor indents/pin holes on the bottom of the ball feet, a common imperfection.
