English Sterling Silver Sugar Basin, c1930
DescriptionA good quality English Sterling Silver Sugar Basin made by E S Barnsley & Co.,Frederick Street, Birmingham.
The circular basin with pierced sides and complete with blue glass liner.
The item assayed in Sheffield with the hallmarks "ESB" for E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley), the Lion Pasant Sterling Silver mark, the "crown" Sheffield town mark and date letter "n" for 1930/31.
It is in excellent condition.
It measures 2 3/4" inches (70mm in height and 3" inches (75mm) in diameter.
