George VI, English Silver & Gold Box, Asprey & Co
DescriptionA very good quality English Silver Pill Box made by Asprey of London.
The box is hallmarked on the inside of the lid with the maker's mark "A&CoLtd" for Asprey & Company Limited, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark and Leopard's Head London town mark. It is also samped "Asprey London".
The inside of the base hallmarked with the maker's mark "A&CoLtd" for Asprey & Company Limited, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the London town mark and date letter "C" for 1938/39.
The box has engine turned engraving to top and base, the top with a gold border.
It is very good quality and in excellent condition.
It measures 36mm x 23mm x 8mm.
The weight is 22.5g
