DescriptionA very nice and rare Scottish Agricultural Medal from the Elgin based Moray Farming Club presented in 1938 to George Fraser Esq. The medal is hallmarked on the edge/rim with the sponsor's mark "M.McD.S." for Murdo MacDonald Stewart (Elgin) and also the Glasgow town mark, the Scottish Lion Rampant and Thistle silver mark and date letter "p" for 1938/39. The front of the medal with a farmyard scene signed "A Fenwick". Arthur Fenwick was a medallist active c1890 - 1951. The reverse of the medal with the inscription as follows "M.F.C. 1938, Presented by the Club to George Fraser Esq., for Most Successful Exhibitor in the Show". It measures approximately 38mm in diameter. The weight of is 24.0g It does come with the original fitted case but sadly the hinge is damaged therefore in need of repair.
