The circular shaped box has a lovely enamel decoration to the lid with floral decoration to the centre.
It is stamped with maker's mark KH and for .935 grade silver (slightly higher than English sterling silver - 0.925).
It measures approximately 57mm x 12mm in height. The weight is 62.9g

A very good quality, Antique, early Victorian English Silver Table Snuff Box made in by Edward Smith of Birmingham and dating from c1847.
The inside of the base is hallmarked with the maker's mark ES, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark and the Birmingham anchor town mark. The inside of the lid with the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the maker's mark ES and date letter "Y" for 1847/48.
The exterior of the box with lovely decorative engraving to all the sides.
The box measures 80mm x 55mm x 20mm.

A very nice English 9ct Gold Vesta Case made by Charles S Green & Co Ltd of Birmingham.
The case is fully hallmarked with the maker's mark "CSG&Co" for Charles S Green & Co Ltd, alongside "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "E" for 1929/30.
The case measures approximately 62mm x 46mm x 6mm.
The weight is 25.7g
The case has lovely decorative engraving to both the front and rear covers. It is in good overall condition, but does have some very minor indents consistent with age/normal use.

It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "G&SCo.Ltd.", for Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd alongside "9" and ".375" for 9 carat solid gold, the London town mark and date letter "U" for 1915/16.
The plain gold case is free of initials or other engravings.
It is in good condition, but does have some very minor indents.
It measures approximately 38mm x 40mm. The weight is 11.5g.

An extremely nice, antique Victorian, 18CT Gold Pencil Case, made by Sampson Mordan & Co. and retailed by Houghton & Gunn.
The firm of Houghton & Gunn was established by William Houghton in 1822. From 1841 he traded from premises at 162 Bond Street, London. He went into partnership with Charles Henry Gunn in 1862 and the firm traded as Houghton & Gunn. The business was taken over by Asprey in 1906.
The case is hallmarked with the maker's mark "SM&Co" for Sampson Mordan & Co., "18" and the "crown" symbol for 18 carat gold, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "R" for 1892/93. Also stamped with the retailer's name "Houghton & Gunn".
The case has nice engine turned decoration. It is in excellent condition.
It measures 90mm in length and 9mm in diameter. The weight is 12.3g.

A very nice Russian Silver Cheroot Case with Niello decoration made in Moscow and dating from 1866.
The inside is hallmarked on both lid and base with the maker's mark, the Assay Master's mark above the date "1866", the silver standard mark "84" and the Moscow town mark.
The case in very good overall condition, it does have some imperfections, minor indents and wear and a very small split on one rear corner near the end of the hinge.

It was assayed in Birmingham and is hallmarked with the maker's mark "D&F", for Deakin & Francis (Stephen Henry Deakin & John Horace Francis) alongside the "crown" symbol and "18" for 18 carat solid gold, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "i" for 1908/09.
The circular shaped case has the original owner's initials nicely engraved to the front.
It is in very good condition.
It measures approximately 46mm in diameter. The weight is 24.6g.

An Exquisite, fine and rare, 18CT Gold, French Snuff Box dating from c1850. The box has nice, engine turned engraving to all sides, the lid with a central cartouche that is free of initials. The lid with a lovely cast thumb piece. It is in excellent condition, the hinge operating perfectly and the lid closing snuggly just as it would have done when new. A lovely box. It is marked with the maker's mark and French control mark on the inner edge of the lid.

An exquisite Antique, Early Victorian, English Silver Presentation Snuff Box made by the highly regarded maker, Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham.
The box is hallmarked on the inside, the lid having the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the maker's mark "N.M" and the Lion Passant Silver Mark. The base having the maker's mark "N.M" again alongside the Birmingham town mark and date letter "P" for 1838/39.
There is a very nice Shipping Interest Presentation Inscription on the lid of the box, presented at Leith on 5th October 1841 (see photos).
It measures approximately 78mm x 50mm x 30mm. The weight is 113.2g/3.99oz/3.63ozt.
