A very rare Scottish Provincial Silver Bowl by George & Alexander Booth, Aberdeen c1830. The base of the bowl is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GB" (struck twice) for George Booth and "AB" (struck twice) for Alexander Booth of Aberdeen. It is engraved with the initial "B". It measures approximately 9" inches (230mm) in width and 4" inches (100mm) in height. The weight is 391.6g/13.81oz/12.59ozt. The bowl is in very good condition.

Scottish Provincial Silver Bowl G&A Booth Aberdeen
A superb, very rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Toddy ladle made by John Sellar of Wick and dating from c1825. The Ladle has engraved initials (see photo). It is marked with the maker's mark "JS" for John Sellar and the town mark "WICK". John Sellar is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Wick c1825. It measures 6 1/2" inches (165mm) in length. The weight is 36.6g/1.29oz/1.17ozt. In excellent condition showing virtually no signs of wear.

Scottish Provincial Silver Toddy Ladle, John Sellar of Wick
A very good quality, antique, early Victorian, Scottish Sterling Silver Bullet Shaped Teapot made by A G Whighton in Edinburgh and dating from c1847. The base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "AGW" for A G Whighton, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "Q" for 1847/48. The teapot measures approximately 11 1/2" inches (290mm) in width, 6" inches (150mm) in height. The weight is 722g. A very nice Scottish teapot in excellent condition.

Antique Scottish Bullet Teapot, Edinburgh c1847
A very nice Scottish Provincial Silver Soup Ladle by a relatively rare maker, John Leslie of Aberdeen, dating from c1790. John Leslie is recorded as working in Aberdeen c1774 - 1821. The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IL" for John Leslie, alongside the letter "U" and "thistle" symbol. The terminal is engraved with the letter "Y". A nice, rare, Scottish Silver Soup Ladle in excellent condition, however there is minor shallow indent in the bowl. It measures 13 1/4" inches (335mm) in length. It has a lovely circular bowl measuring 3 1/2" inches (95mm) in diameter. The weight is 180.7g/6.37oz/5.80ozt

A very good quality and rare, Scottish Silver and Agate Snuff Box by William Robb of Ballater. The oval shaped box with an agate set lid. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "Robb, Ballater" in a triangular punch, for William Robb of Ballater, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the castle Edinburgh town mark and date letter "H" for 1913/14. Scottish Provincial Silver Box, Robb Ballater
A very good quality, impressive pair of heavy, Georgian English Sterling Silver Entree Dishes made in London by Robert Garrard and dating from c1825. The famous firm, Garrard & Co was established in London in 1735 and hold the Royal Warrant as suppliers to the British Royal Family, their relationship with the Royal Family stretching back to 1843 when Garrard was appointed the first official crown jeweller. These dishes are of superb quality, made from very heavy gauge silver, the total weight is a massive 4.037 Kg. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "RG" for Robert Garrard, (Panton Street, London), the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "i" for 1824/25. Also stamped to the base "Garrards, Panton Street, London". They have an impressive Heraldic coat of arms with the motto "Mon Devorato Serpente". Obviously, these dished would have been originally owned by an extremely wealthy family. These dishes are in excellent condition with surface scratches consistent with minimal normal use. They measure approximately 11 1/2" x 9" x 2 1/2" inches (290 x 230 x 65mm), excluding handle. The total weight 4.037 Kg. A very impressive pair of of English sterling silver entree dishes with an excellent pedigree. An excellent addition to any collection and it would be very hard to find a better pair.

The mug is stamped to the base with the maker's name "Marshall & Sons, 87 George Street, Edinburgh" and hallmarked with the Monarch's Head (Queen Victoria) duty mark, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh "castle" town mark and date letter "o" for 1870/71. The mug has a engraved initials to the front. It measures approximately 3" inches (77mm) in height and 2 3/4" inches (70mm) in diameter. The weight is 154.1g/5.43oz/4.95ozt In very good condition

Victorian Scottish Silver Mug, Edinburgh c1870
A Victorian Silver Ceremonial Presentation Trowel made in Birmingham and dating from 1867. The trowel is hallmarked with the maker's mark "T.S" for Thomas Smily, the monarch's head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Lion Passant silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "l" for 1866/67. It is also stamped to the rear with the retailer's name "Hall & Co., Manchester." It bears the following inscription "Presented to George Slater Esq., on the occasion of his laying the Foundation Stone of the United Methodist Free Church, Barnton, June 5th 1867." The English village of Barnton is located in Cheshire just south west of Manchester. This is a lovely example of a very good quality presentation trowel that is in very good condition. The collar to the finial on the handle has a small part that has been chipped off. A minor imperfection (see photo).

It measures approximately 11 1/2" inches (290mm) in length overall. The blade approximately 6 1/2" inches (165mm).
