A vintage, Silver Scottish Celtic Penannular Plaid style Brooch made by John Grinsell & Sons Birmingham. The rear of the brooch hallmarked with the maker's mark "JG&S" for John Grinsell & Sons, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "L" for 1935/36. The slightly oval shape measures 42mm x 38mm.

A Scottish Clan Brooch with the motto "AUT PAX AUT BELLUM" (translates to Either Peace or War). This is the clan Gunn family crest. The clan brooch unmarked therefore selling as white metal. It measures 30mm in diameter.

Scottish Clan Gunn Brooch, AUT PAX AUT BELLUM
A pair of Scottish Rugby 9CT Gold Medals and associated 9CT Gold Identity Disc Bracelet. The first medal is engraved with the following presentation inscription "Gala FC Sports 1921, Won By Jedforest, W Renilson". It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WHH", "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter "u" for 1919/20. The second medal in gold with a rugby player depicted in enamel to the centre. The rear hallmarked with the maker's mark "WWC", "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter "z" for 1924/25. Also included is an associated Identity Disc engraved with the name "H Renilson" and an address. The history of the recipient of the medals worthy of further research. There is a W Renilson listed in the record of the Jedburgh Border Games as winner of the Jedforest Handicap Sprint in the years 1921 and 1925. The medals come in a small cardboard box from Alex Kirkwood & Son, Medalist, Edinburgh who probably supplied them originally. This firm still in existence today.

Vintage Scottish Silver Kilt Pin, Edinburgh c1967
An Antique, Victorian 9CT Gold Scottish Golf Medal awarded to the famous Scottish Amateur Golf Champion James Robb. James Robb was a member of the Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club. His career is well documented. He was an impressive golfer, his first win of the Amateur Championship was at Hoylake in 1906, having been runner-up in 1897 and 1900. This medal is is from Glasgow Golf Club, Spring Meeting, Scratch Won by James Robb c1900. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "R&S", also "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the Glasgow town mark and date letter "C" for 1899/1900. The medal measures 35mm x 25mm and the weight is 7.9g

Victorian 9CT Gold Scottish Golf Medal James Robb
A World War II, medal pair comprising of the Voluntary Medical Service Medal and the 1939-1945 Defence Medal. This pair of medals awarded to Caroline J Hendry. The Voluntary Medical Service Medal impressed with the recipients name "Caroline J Hendry", the WW II Defence Medal unnamed as is the norm with WW II Campaign Medals. The Voluntary Medical Service Medal was instituted in 1932 and was awarded to members of the British red Cross or as in this case the Scottish St Andrew's Ambulance Corps. The obverse of the medal bears a symbolic representation of Florence Nightingale carrying a lamp, the reverse with both Geneva and St Andrew's crosses. The medal was awarded for 15 years service with additional clasps for every 5 years additional service.

A nice vintage Scottish Silver Skean Dhu made in Edinburgh and dating from c1956/57. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "TE" for Thomas Kerr Ebbutt, the Scottish Lion Rampant silver mark, the "castle" Edinburgh town mark and date letter "A" for 1956/57. The blade stamped "Stainless Steel". The wooden hilt with basket weave engraving. It is in very good overall condition. The silver mount at the bottom of the hilt slightly loose. The total length is just under 8" inches (200mm). The blade measures 3 1/2" inches(90mm)

Vintage Silver Mounted Skean Dhu, Edinburgh c1956
A 9CT Gold Scottish Masonic Jewel medal. The red ribbon with an enamel Scottish Shield. The 9ct gold mounts to top and bottom engraved "Tom Robb" and "R.W.M 1969-72", suspending the 9CT gold masonic symbol engraved with thistles. The rear of the 9ct gold mounts hallmarked with the maker's mark "GK&S" and "9/.375" for 9 carat gold. The rear of masonic symbol also hallmarked with the maker's mark "GK&S" for George Kenning & Son, "9/.375" for 9 carat gold, the London town mark and date letter "C" for 1918/19. The rear of the symbol also with the lodge name and number "Airlie No286". The Jewel therefore would have been originally presented to Tom Robb, in recognition of him holding the office of Right Worshipful Master, 1969 -1972 at the Airlie Masonic Lodge Number 286. It is complete with the original presentation case/box from the suppliers "D M Goudielock,Glasgow, Masonic Specialists". The case with some scuffs/wear to the outside. The Airlie Lodge No286 is in Kirriemuir, in Angus, Scotland.

A very good Scottish Silver Ram's Horn Snuff Mull dating from c1825. The Ram's Horn body of the snuff mull in very good condition with good colour and patina. The silver collar and lid in excellent condition. The silver lid has a central circular shaped cartouche that has engraved initials and is dated "1825". The silver collar and lid, unmarked as is the norm, therefore must sell as white metal. It measures approximately 4" inches (100mm) in length.

Scottish Silver Lidded Horn Snuff Mull c1825
A rare, antique, Scottish Provincial Silver mounted Skean Dhu made by Ferguson & MacBean of Inverness dating from c1890. The silver mount hallmarked with the maker's mark "F&B" for Ferguson & MacBean, and "INVS" the town mark for Inverness. The blade also stamped "Ferguson & MacBean, Inverness. The wooden handle with basket weave carving and applied studs. The leather covered scabbard with engraved mounts. The Skean Dhu is in good unrestored condition, although the point at the end of the blade has broken off (see photo). The total length is 7" inches (180mm).

A good quality, vintage, Scottish Sterling Silver mounted Stag Horn Skean Dhu made in Edinburgh and dating from c1957. The silver mount hallmarked with the maker's mark "T.E" for Thomas Kerr Ebutt, the Scottish Thistle sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "B" for 1957/58. Also stamped "Made in Scotland". The Skean Dhu with a Stag's Horn hilt, silver mounts and a stainless steel blade. The total length is 7 1/2" inches (195mm).
