An Antique, George III, 18th Century English Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "G.W" for George Wintle, the Monarch's Head Duty Mark, the Lion Passant English Sterling Silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "q" for 1791/92.

It measures 9 1/2" inches (240mm) in length. The weight is 45.2g/1.59oz/1.45ozt

George III English Silver Marrow Scoop c1791
A very nice, rare, Set of Six Antique English Sterling Silver Knives. Five of the knives are hallmarked with the makers mark "MB" for Moses Brent, London, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark and the date "D" for 1799/1800. The other knife a later replacement with English Silver hallmarks for London 1837. All six have an armorial crest engraved on the blade (see photo)

Set of Six Antique English Silver Knives
A superb Antique, George III, 18th Century, English Sterling Silver, 24 piece, Part Cutlery Set, consisting of twelve silver table spoons & twelve silver dessert spoons. They all have matching English Silver Hallmarks with maker's mark "GS" for George Smith (III), the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head town mark for London, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the date letter "l" for 1786/87. They have a beaded edge and a "Lion's Head" armorial crest to the handles. A lovely set of twenty-four 18th century silver spoons.

The tablespoons measure 8 3/4" inches (220mm) in length. T They have a combined weight of 826.6g/29.14oz/26.57ozt The dessert spoons measure just under 7" inches (175mm) in length. They have a combined weight of 426.8g/15.05oz/13.72ozt
