A very nice George VI, English Silver Strawberry Dishes made by Nathan Bloom & Son, London and dating from c1942. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "NB&Sn" for Nathan Bloom & Son, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "G" for 1942/43. The dish measures 8" inches (203mm) in diameter and 1 1/2" inches (38mm) in height. The weight is 379.9g/13.40oz/12.21ozt. It is in in excellent condition.

George VI, English Silver Strawberry Dish
A very nice pair of George III, English Silver Strawberry Dishes made by Henry Chawner, London and dating from c1792. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "HC" for Henry Chawner, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head crowned London town mark and date letter for c1792 (one dish letter "q" the other "r"). A lovely pair of Georgian dishes. They are in excellent condition.

The dishes measure approximately 8 1/2" inches (215mm) in diameter and 1 5/8" inches (40mm) in height. One dish weighs 359.3g/12.67oz/11.55ozt and the other 397.2g/14.00oz/12.76ozt.

Pair George III, English Silver Strawberry Dishes
A Set of Four Traprain Law Scottish Silver Goblets by Brook & Son, Edinburgh. During excavations in 1919 an archaeological team discovered a hoard of Roman Silver at Traprain Law, near Edinburgh, believed to have been buried around the middle of the 5th Century AD. The hoard is on display at the National Museums of Scotland in Edinburgh. The picture of the hoard on their website shows goblets of a similar design to these. Brook & Son of Edinburgh were the silversmiths used to restore the haul and subsequently they made copies under license. They are hallmarked on the underside of the base with the maker's name "Brook & Son, Edinburgh", the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the castle Edinburgh town mark and date letter "Z" for 1930/31. They have an engraved crest with the Latin motto "Delectat et Ornat". They measure 2 1/2" inches (63mm) in height. The base 2" inches (51mm) in diameter, the top 1 3/4" inches (45mm) in diameter. The total weight is 234.6g/8.27oz/7.54ozt

Set Four Traprain Law Scottish Silver Goblets
A vintage Scottish Silver "Sword" Letter Opener made by Hamilton & Inches of Edinburgh and dating from c1964/65. The solid silver blade hallmarked with the maker's mark "H&I" for Hamilton & Inches, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the castle Edinburgh town mark and date letter for 1964/65. It is in very good overall condition, but there is a thin split to the handle (see photo).

Victorian Scottish Silver Coffee Pot c1896
An antique, Victorian Silver Collared Presentation Ceremonial Trowel dating from c1900. The silver collar on the handle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "JB", the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the "crown" Sheffield town mark and date letter "h" for 1900/01. Only the collar on the handle is sterling silver, the rest of the trowel is silver plated. It is in good condition with some minor nicks to the trowel edge and light surface scratches to the underside. The trowel bears the following inscription "Presented to Mr James Pelham on the occasion of laying a memorial stone of the Norman Road Wesleyan Chapel, St Leonards-on-Sea. Sept. 26th 1900"

A cased English Sterling Silver Presentation Key made by T & J Bragg Ltd and dating from c1935. The key is hallmarked with the maker's mark "T&JB" for T & J Bragg Ltd, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter "L" for c1935/36. The key bears the presentation inscription "Presented to the Rt. Rev. Bishop Willis OBE DD at the opening of Hinckley Parish Hall" and on the reverse side "By EH Crump FSI., Architect, September 7th 1935." The key is contained in the original fitted case. The case with imperfections.

Cased Set Four English Silver Napkin Rings c1938
A SUBERB LARGE ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER SNUFF BOX, SCOTTISH MILITARY INTEREST c1830 A fine and rare Antique, Regency Period, George IV, English Silver Presentation Snuff Box made by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham and dating from c1826/27. The box is hallmarked on the inside, the lid having the Monarch's Head duty mark, the maker's mark "JW" for Joseph Willmore and the Lion Passant Silver Mark. The base having the maker's mark "JW" again alongside the "anchor" town mark for Birmingham and the date letter "C" for 1826/27. The top of the box is cast depicting a scene with troops in battle. The base of the box has a very nice Presentation Inscription, the box being presented to "Surgeon James Dundas from Lieu.t Colonel Cullen, a small token of esteem and the high sense he entertains of his professional services. January 1830." (see photo). There is lovely engine turned engraved decoration to the four sides and base. It measures approximately 85mm x 58mm x 24mm. The weight is 171.6g/6.05oz/5.52ozt.

Scottish Military Interest Silver Snuff Box c1830
A very nice and rare Scottish Agricultural Medal from the Elgin based Moray Farming Club presented in 1938 to George Fraser Esq. The medal is hallmarked on the edge/rim with the sponsor's mark "M.McD.S." for Murdo MacDonald Stewart (Elgin) and also the Glasgow town mark, the Scottish Lion Rampant and Thistle silver mark and date letter "p" for 1938/39. The front of the medal with a farmyard scene signed "A Fenwick". Arthur Fenwick was a medallist active c1890 - 1951. The reverse of the medal with the inscription as follows "M.F.C. 1938, Presented by the Club to George Fraser Esq., for Most Successful Exhibitor in the Show". It measures approximately 38mm in diameter. The weight of is 24.0g It does come with the original fitted case but sadly the hinge is damaged therefore in need of repair.
