A rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Tablespoon made in Banff by John Keith and dating from c1800. John Keith is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Banff c1794 to 1824. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IK" for John Keith, alongside the letter "B" for Banff and the letter "M". There are engraved initials on the handle (see photos)

It measures approximately 8 1/2" inches (215mm) in length. The weight is 50.0g

Scottish Provincial Silver Spirit Label
A very rare George II, Scottish Silver Sauce or Cream Boat made in Edinburgh by Edward Lothian and dating from c1744. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "EL" for Edward Lothian (worn), the Edinburgh "castle" town mark, the assay master's mark "HG" for Hugh Gordon and the date letter "P" for 1744/45. The rim is decorated with chased foliate flower head and shell decorations.

It measures approximately 165mm in length. The weight is 129g/4.55oz/4.15ozt

Rare George II, Scottish Silver Cream Boat c1744
A very nice pair of Antique George III, Scottish Silver Tablespoons made by William Auld in Edinburgh and dating from c1806. The spoons measure just under 8 1/2" inches (215mm) in length, therefore they would make an excellent pair of serving spoons. They are hallmaked with the maker's mark "WA" for William Auld, the Scottish Thistle Sterling Silver Mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Edinburgh Castle town mark and the date letter "a" for 1806/07. The handles have a nice armorial crest and the motto "Optima Est Veritas" (Truth is Best). They are in very good condition but do have some minor wear to the tips of the bowls (see photo).

The spoons measure just under 8 1/2" inches (215mm) in length. The weight is 102.6g/3.61oz/3.29ozt

Six Georgian Scottish Silver Tablespoons Edinburgh
A very nice Antique Scottish Provincial Silver small cream ladle by Benjamin Lumsden, Montrose and dating from c1790. The ladle hallmaked the maker's mark "BL" for Benjamin Lumsden alongside the "Rose" symbol for Montrose (stamped twice). An example of this mark is shown in the Montrose section of Jackson's Silver and Gold Marks. It has the engraved initials "DJC" under the number "1" on the handle (see photo). The ladle is in very good condition but does have some very minor light scratches on the underside of the handle, mentioned for accuracy, they do not detract in the slightest from this lovely ladle (see photo).

It measures approximately 6" inches (150mm) in length. The bowl is just over 1 1/4" inches (33mm) diameter. The weight is 18.7g/0.65oz/0.60ozt
