A superb, gentleman's, World War II era, American Waltham Military Pocket Watch. The dial is in very good condition, it has the hours in Arabic numerals. There is a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker "Waltham" (see photo). The base metal watch case was made by the Star Watch Case Company, it is in excellent condition, but with wear to the plating as is normal with this type of watch. The case with the British M.O.D. broad arrow symbol and the issue number 9024. Both front and rear covers screw off smoothly as they should. The rear case cover screws off to reveal the 9 jewel Waltham movement, adjusted for temp and in 3 positions. It is signed by the maker "Waltham". The serial number 31,646937 dating the watch to c1942. The watch is stem wound and set. A lovely watch in good condition, it would make a great addition to any collection. A good example of an Antique, George III, English Silver Pair Cased Pocket Watch with a Verge Fusee movement by JS Woolmer, Reepham. Reepham is a market town in Norfolk, England. The watch has the movement signed by the maker "JS Woolmer, Reepham" and has the serial number 56113. It is in working order. The case hallmarked with the maker's mark "JH", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's London town mark and date letter "k" for 1825/26. The outer case has a number of old watchmaker's papers inside. The dial is in good condition but does have a few faint hairlines as can be seen. The watch measures 57mm in diameter (across the case).

A good, Victorian gentleman's sterling silver, pair cased Pocket Watch dating from c1877 by George Mutch of Ellon. Ellon is a town located in Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland, north of Aberdeen. This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order. The English made, sterling silver case is in good condition, all covers opening and closing tightly as they should. It has full English hallmarks for sterling silver. The maker's mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and the date letter "o" for 1877/78. The rear of the case with the former owner's name engraved. The case in very good overall condition, but does have some extremely minor indents and wear consistent with age. The outer case with an old watchmaker's repair paper from Alex. Gray of Netherkirkgate in Aberdeen. The silver dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in gold roman numerals with gold floral decoration to the centre. There is a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. The good quality, full plate, Lever movement is in good working order. It is key wind and key set, with the key provided. The watch measures 53mm in diameter (across the case). Overall, this is a very good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection. The rear of the case has lovely engine turned engraving with a central cartouche that is free of initials. The inner cuvette with the former owner's name engraved. The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. The good quality fusee movement is in excellent working order.
