A rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon made By George Elder of Banff. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GE" for George Elder, the mother and child mark and the letter "B" for Banff. George Elder is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Banff c1818 to 1843. The spoon has an engraved initial. It measures 5 1/2" inches (140mm) in length. The weight is 14.5g. An excellent example of a rare provincial silver spoon.

Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon, GE Banff
A very good quality, Antique, English Silver Gilt Vinaigrette by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham dating from c1837. The inside of the base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "NM" for Nathaniel Mills, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter for D for 1837/38. The lid with the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark and maker's mark "NM". The exterior of the box with engine turned engraving to the lid and bases. The lid with engraved initials. The vinaigrette measures 37mm x 25mm x 10mm. The weight is 17.6g. The vinaigrette is in very good overall condition. A nice vinaigrette by a sought after maker, it would make a lovely addition to any collection. We always have a good selection of silver boxes in stock.

A very good, antique, Victorian, Scottish Silver Agricultural Medal dating from c1881. The medal was presented to James Smith by Brown & Murray at Stonehaven Xmas Show for a pen of Black Faced Sheep. The medal is not fully hallmarked, but has the maker's mark AITCHISON for James Aitchison, Edinburgh. The circular medal measures approximately 45mm in diameter. The weight is 34.3g. It is in excellent condition.

Scottish Farming Silver Medal Stonehaven Xmas Show
A good quality, vintage, Scottish Sterling Silver kilt belt buckle made in Edinburgh and dating from c1987. The buckle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "T.E" for Thomas Kerr Ebutt, the Scottish Lion Rampant sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "N" for 1987. Thomas Kerr Ebutt was a manufacturing jeweller, with premises at St David's Square, Edinburgh Ebbutt started work in 1896 and died in 1921. His company continued in business until 1977 when it was bought by Hamilton & Inches. They continued to use the TE mark until c2000. The buckle measures approximately 90mm x 65mm. It is in excellent condition.

A very good, rare, George III, Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon made in Dumfries by David Gray dating from c1815. David Gray is recorded as working in Dumfries from c1810 - 1841. The spoon is marked with the Maker's Mark "DG" for David Gray, alongside his marks for Dumfries. There are initials engraved on the handle. It is in excellent condition. It measures 5 3/4" inches (145mm) in length. The weight is 16.5g.

A very nice and rare, George III, Scottish Provincial Silver Gravy (Basting or Stuffing) Spoon by William Hannay of Paisley and dating from c1814. The spoon has very nice, crisp hallmarks with the maker's mark "WH"" for William Hannay (Paisley), the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter h for 1813/14. It measures approximately 12 1/4" inches (310mm) in length. The weight is 104.6g. It is in excellent condition, a lovely addition to any collection, or for use on a special occasion. A very good quality English sterling silver Armada Dish made by the famous Garrard & Co Ltd., The Crown Jewellers, 112 regent Street, London. Garrard & Co hold the Royal Warrant, by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers. The dish hallmarked with the maker's mark G&CoLd for Garrard & Co ltd, the lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter S for 1973/74. The dish measures 4 3/4" inches (120mm) in diameter. The weight is 130.8g. It is complete with the original box and packaging as supplied new by Garrard & Co. Also the original leaflet explaining the history and story of The Armada Dish. A lovely piece of English silver that would make an excellent gift for that special occassion.

It is hallmarked with the maker's mark AC for Alexander Cameron, Dundee, alongside the Scottish "thistle" silver mark, the Pot O' Lillies Dundee town mark and letter "C". The spoon is hallmarked with the maker's mark "RK", struck twice for Robert Keay and the double headed eagle, also struck twice, the Perth town mark. There is an engraved initial (see photo). An Antique, George III, Irish Sterling Silver tray made in Dublin and dating from c1798. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GB" for Gustavus Byrne, alongside Hibernia and the Harp Crowned with the date letter "B" for 1798. There is a central crest. It measures 4 1/4" inches (105mm) in diameter. The weight is 60.0g The tray is in good condition, however there is a small split to the centre at the bottom of the crest and some minor indents.

A rare pair of antique, Scottish Provincial Silver Dessert Forks made in Arbroath by Andrew Davidson and dating from c1840. Andrew Davidson is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Arbroath c1835 to 1850. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "AD" for Andrew Davidson, alongside his Arbroath marks. There have an engraved initial on the handle (see photos). They measure 6 1/2" inches (165mm) in length. The combined weight of both is 70.9g.
