A nice, Victorian, English Silver Fusee Pocket Watch made by John Forrest London and dates from c1876.
The English silver case is in good condition. It has engine turned engraving to the rear (worn near the edge) and a central cartouche with engraved initials. It is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "PW", the London town mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark and the date letter "A" for 1876/77. It has the serial number 21540.
The English Lever Fusee movement is in good condition and working order. It is key wound and set with the key provided and is complete with dust cover. The dust cover is signed "John Forrest, London" and has the serial number 21540. The movement signed "Chronometer maker to the Admiralty (the British Royal Navy)" and also has the serial number (see photo).
The dial is in good condition, signed "John Forrest, London" above the serial number.
The case, movement, dust cover and dial all have the same serial number, proving all are original and have been together since new.

A vintage, World War Two era, Elgin Military Stopwatch/Timer. The dial is signed "Elgin Timer".
The movement signed "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. USA". The serial number 40,586114 dating it to c1941. The base metal case is stamped "cased and timed by Elgin Nat'l Watch Co". The rear has the Military Ordnance Arrow and "1/5 Sec TP".
It is also stamped "ORD DEPT, US, NO OS 8921", this writing has a line through it.
The movement is in working order. In very good condition.

A very nice, Eight Day, Goliath Pocket Watch complete with a Silver Mounted, Shell fronted, Travelling Case.
The pocket watch case is base metal. The movement is an eight day Swiss made movement in excellent condition and working order.
The watch dial is in very good condition with the exception of a chip right on the edge between 0ne and two o'clock, bareluy noticeable with the front cover in closed position (see photo)
The travelling case is has a shell front with silver mounted edge. The silver hallmarked with the maker's mark "C&R/C" for Charles & Richard Comyns, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the London town mark and date letter "b" for 1917/18.
The case is in reasonably good condition with minor scuffs etc. The easel stand support is missing from the rear so it cannot stand independantly, the hinge is there so it could easily be replaced with something.
The watch measures 68mm diameter. The travel case 85mm x 110mm

The white enamel dial is in good condition, it is signed "AWWCo., Waltham, Mass". It has the hours in Roman numerals.

A very nice, Antique, Scottish Silver Fusee Silver Pocket Watch made by J & G Anderson, Carnoustie and dating from c1888.
Carnoustie is a small town on the east cosat of Scotland just east of Dundee.
The plain silver watch case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "WE", the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "O" for 1888/89. The 3/4 plate fusee movement is in good condition and working order, running strongly. The dial is in good condition with a faint harline from teh centre to 12 o'clock (see photo).
