A vintage Scottish Silver Celtic Penannular Plaid Brooch made by Henderson & Horner Bros of Buchanan Street, Glasgow and dating from c1941. The rear of the brooch hallmarked with the maker's mark "H&HBrs" for Henderson & Horner Brothers, the Lion Rampant Scottish sterling silver mark, the Glasgow town mark and date letter "s" for 1941/42. It measures 2 1/4" inches (57mm) in diameter.

Scottish Silver Penannular Plaid Brooch, c1941
A good quality, vintage Scottish Sterling Silver Clan Brooch with the motto "ORNA VERUM" (translates to Honour the Truth). This is the motto for the Waddell family clan. The brooch is hallmarked to the rear with the maker's mark "LJW", the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "H" for 1938/39. It is in very good condition. It measures 33mm in diameter.

A lovely pair of antique, late Victorian English Sterling Silver Grape Scissors made by Martin, Hall & Co at their Shrewsbury Works in Sheffield. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "RM/EH" for Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Sheffield town mark and date letter "h" for 1900/01. The top side with engraved decoration, the underside plain silver. They are in very good condition. They measure just over 5" inches (130mm) in length. The weight is 53.9g.

Victorian English Silver Grape Scissors, Sheffield
A good quality, Antique, George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Punch Ladle made in Edinburgh and dating from c1807. The ladle with a sterling silver bowl and terminal to a baleen stem. The ladle bowl is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WM" for William Marshall, the Scottish thistle silver mark, the Monarchs's Head duty mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "b" for 1807/08. It measures 11 1/4" inches (290mm) in length. It has a lovely, deep oval shaped bowl measuring 3 1/4" inches (85mm) wide by 2 1/4" inches (60mm). The Ladle is in excellent condition.

Scottish Silver Punch Ladle, Edinburgh c1807
A lovely set of Six Antique, George III, English Silver Tablespoons, made in London and dating from c1810. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "RC/GS" Richard Crossley & George Smith IV, the Lion Passant silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark alongside the Crowned Leopard's Head town mark for London and date letter "O" for 1809/10. They have an engraved initial to the terminals. They measure just under 9" inches (225mm) in length. The weight is 398.0g/14.04oz/12.79ozt. They are in very good condition. A couple of spoons with extremely minor indents to the bowls, mentioned for accuracy, but overall very nice spoons.

It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GN/RH" for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, the Lion Passant silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter I for 1909/10. The box has decorative sides and a plain silver base. It measures 88mm x 56mm x 22mm. The weight is 91.2g.

Antique French Circular Silver Snuff Box, c1880
An exquisite, very good quality, George III, English Silver Snuff Box. The box was made in Birmingham and dates from c1810. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WP" for William Pugh, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the anchor Birmingham town mark. The date letter is worn, however William Pugh is recorded as working in Birmingham c1801 - 1816, therefore this box would date from c1810. The box has lovely engraving both lid and base, very similarly engraved, the lid having a blank oval cartouche to the centre, this engraved on the base (see photos). The box measures approximately 70mm x 42mm x 16mm. The weight is 58.9g A lovely quality snuff box that would enhance any collection. It is in excellent overall condition.
