An antique Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch movement made by John Pyper of Belfast and dating from c1880. The white enamel dial is in good condition with the hours in Roman Numerals and complete with hands. The movement is signed by the maker John Pyper, Belfast and has the serial number 73896. The balance swings freely but a service recommended.

The dial measures 47mm diameter, the back plate 45mm diameter

An antique "Goliath" over sized Swiss made Pocket Watch complete with a silver fronted, fitted travel case. The silver fronted case is hallmarked with the maker's mark "BP/DC" for Boots Pure Drug Company, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark Birmingham, "p" 1914/15. The Swiss made goliath pocket watch in good working order. A name lightly scratched on inside of rear cover (would polish out)

The watch measures 67mm diameter. The case 100mm x 110mm.

Goliath Pocket Watch & Silver Travel Case c1914
A Movado Ermeto Chronometer silver cased, purse style, travelling pocket watch/clock. The watch in the form of a purse, the ends are pulled open to reveal the watch face. The opening and closing action also automatically winds the watch. The dial is in good unrestored condition, with some minor marks consistent with age. The "0.925" standard silver case is in very good condition. It has the serial number 1221419 and also stamped "Swiss Made, Patent, Fab Suisse" above the Glasgow town import mark, ".925" for sterling silver and the date letter "h" for 1930/31. The outer case has a shagreen cover.

It measures approximately 50mm x 35mm when closed, 75mm x 35mm when opened.

Movado Chronometre Purse Watch Travel Clock c1930
A very good quality, dating from c1862. Both silver cases are in excellent condition, hallmarked with the maker's mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "N" for 1862/63. The inner case also stamped with the serial number 2511 to match the movement proving both are original and have been together since new. The English lever, fusee movement is in very good condition and working order. It has a nicely engraved balance cock and a diamond end stone. It is complete with dust cover. The watch is key wound and set with the key provided. The dial is in excellent condition. It is signed "Improved Patent" and has the hours in Roman numerals. A lovely example.

An Antique 18CT Gold Victorian English Fusee Pocket Watch made by Burgess of Ipswich and dating from c1867. The 18 carat solid gold case is in excellent condition with lovely decorative engraving and a central cartouche to the rear that is free of initials. It is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "JW", the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "m "for 1867/68. The English fusee movement is in good working order. It is signed by the maker CS Burgess of Ipswich. The movement is key wound and set with the key provided.

A good, antique, Victorian, English Sterling Silver Pocket Watch made by J W Benson and dating from c1886. J W Benson was an important firm of Jewellers, Silversmiths and Watchmakers, founded in 1847. They were holders of the Royal Warrant (maker's to the Royal Family). The silver watch case is hallmarked with the maker's mark "JWB" for J W Benson, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "L" for 1886/87. The rear of the case has a central cartouche surrounded by a garter but this has some wear through years of polishing. The white enamel dial is signed by the maker "J W Benson, London". It has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. The good quality movement is in excellent condition and working order. It is key wound and set with the key provided. It is signed by the maker "J W Benson, Ludgate Hill, London" and also with the watch model name "The Ludgate Watch - Best London Make". Also signed "By Warrant to H M The Queen" (Queen Victoria). The watch has the serial number 35703.

It measures 50mm in diameter. The weight is 119.6g

The 18 carat gold case is in superb condition, with crisp floral engraving to the rear and a central cartouche that is free of engraved initials. The inside of the rear cover stamped "18K" for 18 carat gold alongside Swiss control marks and the serial number 46529. The inner cuvette is not gold. The good quality, 3/4 plate movement is in excellent condition and working order. It has been cleaned and serviced by a professional watch maker. The white enamel dial is in perfect condition. A 9CT Gold Waltham Hunter Cased Pocket Watch retailed by A Saunders, Sydney, Australia. The English 9CT Gold Hunter Case is in excellent condition. It has crisp engine turned engraving and a central cartouch to the front that is free of initials. The case is hallmarked with the maker's mark ALD for Aaron Lufkin Dennison, "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "y" for 1923/24. It is also stamped "Dennison Watch Case Co. Ltd.". The inner cuvette engraved with the name of the original owner "John Dunnett". The good quality movement is in excellent condition and working order. It has a nice damaskeened finish. It is signed by the maker "A.W.W.CO., Waltham USA" and has the serial number 23,486745. The dial is signed by the retailer "A. Saunders, Sydney".
