A delightful Georgian English Silver Mote Spoon, dating from c1750. It is marked with the maker's mark only. The spoon measures 5 1/4" inches (133mm) in length. It is in excellent condition.

A sterling Silver "Cat" brooch by Malcom Appleby. Born in 1946, Malcolm Appleby is considered to be one of the most original and highly skilled craftsmen working in Britain today. Known primarily as an engraver, he has been commissioned on many occasions by private companies, public bodies and individuals to produce wonderful pieces of silverware or jewellery. Recent public commissions include: the Royal Medal awarded annually by the Royal Society of Edinburgh an engraved silver teapot and gold beaded silver bowl for Perth Art Gallery and Museum (2000) and a Sculptural Tablepiece for Bute House, the residence of the First Minister for Scotland (1999).

An impressive, antique Victorian large English sterling silver box. Most probably originally intended as a cigar or cheroot case, however could be put to several different uses. The box is hallmarked on the inside lip with the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the maker's mark "TJ" for Thomas Johnson, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "e" for 1860/61. The inside of the lid also having the maker's mark "TL", the Lion Passant, alongside the date letter "e". The inside of the lid also stamped with the original retailers name "H Rodrigues, 42 Piccadilly" for Henry Rodrigues, 42 Piccadilly, London. The lid and base both deorated with similar engraving. The box is in excellent condition. It measures aproximately 140mm x 70mm x 30mm. The weight is 210.4g/7.42ox6.76ozt

A good, George V, English Sterling Silver Pint Mug made by Edward Barnard & Sons of Hatton Garden, London and dating from c1921. The plain silver mug is free of engravings therefore would be ideal for a presentation piece or for a trophy. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "EB&SLd" for Edward Barnard & Sons, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "f" for 1921/22. The base stamped with the name of the original retailer "Ollivant & Botsford, Manchester". It measures 4 1/2" inches (115mm) in height and 3 3/4" inches (93mm) in diameter. The weight is 419.3g/14.79oz/13.48ozt. It is in excellent condition.

A good George III, English Sterling Silver Snuff Box made in London and dating from 1804. The inside of the box hallmarked with the maker's mark (slightly worn), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned london town mark, the date letter "I" for 1804 and the Monarch's Head duty mark. The box with nice engraving to all sides. The lid with engraved initials. The box is in good condition, but does have some minor indents. It measures 62mm x 42mm x 12mm. The weight is 38.2g

A very nice pair of Antique, George III, English Sterling Silver Novelty Salts in the form of a bath tub, made by Richard Cook in London and dating from c1805. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "RC" for Richard Cook, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "K" for 1805/06. They have an armorial crest engraved to the front (see photo). They measure approximately 3 3/4" inches (93mm) in width. The weight (both combined) is 213.4g/7.52oz6.86ozt In very good overall condition.

An Antique, George III, Sterling Silver Cream Jug made by Walter & Patrick Cunningham, Edinburgh and dating from c1798. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WPC" for Walter & Patrick Cunningham, Edinburgh, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Scottish thistle silver mark, the "Castle" Edinburgh town mark and date letter "S" for 1798/99. The jug measures just under 4" inches (100mm) in height. The weight is 130.1g/4.58oz/4.18ozt. It is in reasonably good condition for it's age, there are some minor indents and evidence of an old repair to the back seam/top of handle join. Condition reflected in the price. Overall, a nice Scottish Silver Jug.

A very good quality, Rare, Antique, George II, Sterling Silver small Salver/Tray/Waiter made by Robert Low, Edinburgh and dating from c1743. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "LOW" for Robert Low, Edinburgh, the Assay Master's mark "EL" for Edward Lothian, the "Castle" Edinburgh town mark and date letter "O" for 1743/44. The heavy gauge, circular tray is supported on three feet. There are engraved initials to the centre. The tray measures just under 6" inches (150mm) in diameter. The weight is 193.0g/6.80oz/6.20ozt. It is in very good condition with very minimal light scratches/wear through normal use commensurate with age.

A very nice Scottish Provincial Silver Soup Ladle by Robert Dickson, Perth c1790. Robert Dickson is recorded as working in Perth c1779 - 1796. The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "RD" (struck twice) for Robert Dickson and the double headed eagle Perth town mark. There are also engraved initials to the underside. The terminal is engraved with the crest of the Urquhart Family of Newhall Scotland. The Boar's Head below the motto "Per actum intentio" (The intention is judged of by the act). A nice, rare Scottish Silver Soup Ladle in excellent condition. It measures 14 1/4" inches (360mm) in length. It has a lovely circular bowl measuring 4" inches (100mm) in diameter. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "F.C" for francis Crump, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "k" for 1765/66. It measures 4" inches (102mm) in height and 3" inches (75mm) in diameter. The weight is 205.3g/7.24oz/6.60ozt. It is in excellent condition.

An Antique George III, English Provincial Sterling Silver Mug made by John Langlands I & John Robertson I, Newcastle c1792. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IL/IR" for John Langlands I & John Robertson I, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned, the "three castles" Newcastle town mark and the Monarch's Head duty mark and date letter "B" for 1792/93. The partnership between John Langlands I and John Robertson I is recorded as being active 1778 - 1795. There are later engraved initials and date "1871 to the front of the mug. It measures 3 3/4" inches (95mm) in height. The weight is 168.5g/5.94oz/5.41ozt. It is in excellent condition.
