A very good Antique, Swiss made, Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in very good condition and in working order. This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, therefore would benefit from a clean and service, as recommended for all antique watches. The plain silver case is marked with the sponsor's mark "GD" for Dimier Brothers & Co Ltd (George Dimier), Watch Importer, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London EC., the ".925" mark for sterling silver, alongside the London town import mark and date letter "q" for 1911/12. The case also has the serial number 100667. The case is in very good condition. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked "Miles per Hour from 1/4 mile distances". There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 5 - 30. The Swiss made movement in good condition and working order, although would benefit from a service as previously stated. It is signed "Made in Switzerland". The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 89.3g. A good example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch, a nice addition to any collection.

A very good, Swiss made, Sterling Silver, Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in very good condition, retailed by Gabriel, London. This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, it is not currently working, therefore being sold as in need of service/repair. The silver case is marked with the sponsor's mark "K&M" and the ".935" mark for silver alongside Swiss control marks. The case also has the serial number 36472. The case is in very good condition, with crisp engine turned engraving to the rear and a central cartouche that is free of initials. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked from 5 - 60. There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 3 - 30. It is signed by the retailer "Gabriel, London". The Swiss made movement appears to be in good condition, however not currently in working order as previously stated. The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 97.7g. A good example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch, a nice addition to any collection.

A very good, Swiss made, Sterling Silver, Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in very good condition, retailed by S Smith & Son, Trafalgar Square, London. This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, it is not currently working, therefore being sold as in need of service/repair. The plain silver case is marked with the sponsor's mark "GS" for Stockwell & Co (George Stockwell) of Finsbury Street, London, the ".925" mark for sterling silver, the London town import mark and date letter "n" 1928/29. The case also has the serial number 59428. The case is in very good condition. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked from 25 - 300. There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 3 - 30. It is signed by the retailer "S Smith & Son, Trafalgar Sq., London WC". The Swiss made movement appears to be in good condition, however not currently in working order as previously stated. It is signed "Swiss Made". The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 108.6g. Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph, Smith & Son
A very good Antique, Swiss made, Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch dating from c1895. It is in very good condition and in working order. This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, therefore would benefit from a clean and service, as recommended for all antique watches. The plain silver case is marked with the case maker's mark "AG" and ".935" mark for silver - a slightly higher grade than sterling silver (0.925) alongside Swiss control marks. The case also has the serial number 105159. The case is in very good condition but does have some very small indents. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked from 25 - 300. There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 2 - 30. The Swiss made movement in good condition and working order, although would benefit from a service as previously stated. It is signed "Racine Geneve" and also stamped "BREVET +359", a Swiss patent number that I believe was granted in 1889, relates to improvements in the construction of chronographs. It was granted to Alfred Lugrin in L'Orient de L'Orbe. Afred Lugrin founded the company L’Orient de L’orbe in 1884 which later became Fabrique d’horlogerie Lemania. The company specialised in complications such as minute repeating, chronographs and calendars. The company is still producing well respected movements which are supplied to some of the best watch companies in the world. The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 103.1g. A good example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch, a nice addition to any collection.

Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph, A Lugrin Patent
A very good Antique, Swiss made, Sterling Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in immaculate condition and excellent working order, retailed by Thomas Russell & Son of Liverpool. The plain sterling silver case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "WHS" for William Henry Sparrow (Spencer Street, Birmingham), the ".925" mark for sterling silver, the London town import mark and date letter "b" for 1917/18. The case also has the serial number 203103, the number repeated on the movement proving both are original and have been together since new. The centre sunk white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and signed "Thos. Russell & Son, Liverpool" and "Swiss made". The stop facility operated by a slide on the case side band (between 3 & 4 o'clock). The mechanism functioning correctly as it should. The Swiss made movement in good condition and working order. It is signed ""Thos. Russell & Son, Liverpool" and also "Maker to Queen Victoria", the firm being holders of the Royal Warrant. The watch measures 55mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 121.5g. An fine example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in excellent condition and working order.

An antique Scottish Pair Cased Fusee Pocket Watch made by J Hutchison of Brechin. Both solid silver cases are in excellent condition. They are hallmarked with the case maker’s initials "TRA", for Thomas Richard Arnott, (watch case manufactures, Chester Street Coventry), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and the date letter "B" for 1902/03. The case also has the serial number 55692 to match the movement, proving both are original and have been together since new. The Lever Fusee movement is in good working order. It is signed "J Hutchison, Brechin". It is key wound and set with the key provided. The movement has a nicely engraved balance cock and has the serial number 55692. The silver & gold dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in gold Roman numeral and gold decoration to the outer chapter and centre. An antique Scottish Pair Cased Fusee Pocket Watch made by James Davidson of New Deer. Both solid silver cases are in excellent condition. They are hallmarked with the case maker’s initials "JR", for John Rotherham, (Rotherham & Sons, watch & watch case manufactures, Spon Street Coventry), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and the date letter "f" for 1905/06. The Lever Fusee movement is in good working order. It is signed "James Davidson, New Deer". It is key wound and set with the key provided. Superb 18CT Gold Swiss Fob Pocket Watch c1890
A very good quality, antique, 18CT Gold Fob Pocket Watch made by J Pourrat & Sons of Switzerland. The 18CT Gold watch case is in very good condition. The inside of the rear cover stamped "18K" for 18 carat gold alongside Swiss control marks and the serial number 12522. The inner cuvette (dust cover) similarly marked, a sign of quality as they are often base metal on these type of watches. The cuvette also engraved with the maker's name "J Pourrat & Fils, de Geneve, Chronometre". The rear cover has engraved initials. The Swiss made movement is in very good condition and working order. The movement with wolf teeth winding wheels, another sure sign of a quality watch. The dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and there is a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. The watch in very good condition and working order. The watch measures 31mm in diameter. The weight is 25.3g. It is complete with fitted presentation case.

18CT Gold Pocket Watch, J Pourrat & Fils, c1895
A very good quality, Antique, Victorian 18CT Gold English Pocket Watch by a listed maker John Cashmore of London and dating from c1888. John Cashmore was born in 1821. The watchmaker is listed as working from 1 North Buildings, South Place, Finsbury, London from c1857, later moving to premises in Eldon Street and working their in the 1890's. The watch is an excellent example, in very good overall condition and and excellent working order. The English, plain, 18 carat gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "JH" (probably for Joseph Hirst), the "crown and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "N" for 1888/89. The inner cuvette similarly marked. The case also stamped with the serial number 6569 to match the movement proving both are original and have been together since new. The English Lever movement is signed by the maker "John Cashmore, 1 North Buildgs., South Place, Finsbury, London" and serial number 6569. The watch is stem wound and pin set. The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in roman numerals and is signed by the maker "John Cashmore, London". The watch measures 39mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 59.3g. A good example of a Victorian English Pocket Watch by a highly regarded maker.

A very good quality 18CT Gold Pocket Watch made in Switzerland and retailed by Edward (Diamond Merchants), 92 Buchanan Street, Glasgow. The 18 carat gold watch case is stamped "18K" for 18 carat gold alongside the serial number 120161 to both the rear cover and inner cuvette (dust cover). The case is in very good condition. It has engraved initials to the rear (see photo). The high grade Swiss made movement is in excellent condition, recently serviced and very good working order. It is signed "Swiss Made" and has the retailers name "Edward, Glasgow". The dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. Also with the retailers name "Edward, Glasgow". An very nice example of a fine Swiss made watch. It measures 47mm in diameter (excluding crown). The weight is 52.5g.

18CT Gold Gent's Pocket Watch, Edward, Glasgow
A Scottish Pair (Double) Cased Pocket Watch by James Walker of Aberdeen, Scotland. This watch is NOT in working order therefore being sold as in need of repair/restoration. The English Silver double case hallmarked with the maker's mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the London town mark and date letter "P" for 1850/51. Both inner and outer cases in good condition. The dial is in good condition (the seconds hand is missing. The fusee movement is signed with the makers name "Jas. Walker, Aberdeen" and serial number. The outer case has an old watchmaker's paper inside from William Petrie of New Deer in Aberdeenshire. A nice old watch for the collector, but will need repair if to be brought back to working order.
