A very good quality, Antique, early Victorian English Silver Presentation Snuff Box made by Thomas Shaw of Birmingham and dating from c1837. The inside of the base is hallmarked with the maker's mark TS, the Birmingham anchor town mark and date letter O for 1837/38. The inside of the lid with the Monarch's Head duty mark, the maker's mark TS and Lion Passant sterling silver mark. The exterior of the box with lovely decorative engraving to all the sides. The lid with a presentation inscription Presented to James Bateman by his Bro. Officers Inl. Rev. 31st Dec 1897. The box measures 73mm x 42mm x 16mm. The weight is 78.0g/2.75oz/2.50ozt. A RARE ANTIQUE GEORGIAN ENGLISH STERLING SILVER SNUFF BOX, GEORGE III, c1815. A nice, Antique, George III, English Silver Snuff Box. The box was made in London and dates from c1815. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WE", the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the date letter "U" for 1815/16. The curved box has nice reeded decoration and a family crest to the lid. The box in good condition overall, but has some minor indents and wear as can be expected given the age. The box measures approximately 72mm x 30mm x 12mm. The weight is 36.9g

The inside of the base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "NM" for Nathaniel Mills, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter for 1826/27. The lid with the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark and maker's mark "NM". The exterior of the box with engine turned engraving base and to all the sides. The lid with armorial crest. The box measures 77mm x 46mm x 17mm. The weight is 90.0g. The box is in very good overall condition, some light wear to the engraving on the base. A nice box by a sought after maker, it would make a lovely addition to any collection.

A VERY NICE, ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER HARDSTONE SET SNUFF BOX, GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS, LONDON c1912 A very good quality, English Silver and Hardstone set Snuff or Pill Box made in London and dating from c1912. The circular shaped box with a hardstone set lid. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WH" for William Hornby, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "r" for 1912/13. The box is stamped to the base with the prestigious London retailer's name "Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ld., 112 Regent Street W". It is in very good condition. It measures 55mm in diameter x 23mm in height. The weight is 59.3g

The box is hallmarked with the maker's mark "RGH" for RG Hennell & Sons, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "B" for 1937/38. The exterior of the box with a reeded finish to top, bottom and all sides. The box measures 80mm x 48mm x 19mm. The weight is 89.4g. A lovely English sterling silver snuff box in excellent condition.
