DescriptionA George II, English Sterling Silver Tray made by Joseph Sanders in London and dating from c1735.
It is hallmarked on the underside with the maker's mark "IS" for Joseph Sanders, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head London Town mark and date letter "V" for 1735/36.
It is supported on three feet.
It measures 5 3/4" inches (145mm) in diameter.
