Superb Russian Silver Niello Cheroot Case c1862
DescriptionAn exquisite Russian Silver Cheroot Case with superb Niello decoration made in Moscow and dating from 1862.
The lid with a Russian town scene, the underside with Niello decoration and a shield shaped central cartouche with initials below a coronet.
The inside is hallmarked with the maker's mark, the Assay Master's mark above the date "1862", the silver standard mark "84" and the Moscow town mark.
