Russian Silver Niello Cheroot Case, Moscow c1866
DescriptionA very nice Russian Silver Cheroot Case with Niello decoration made in Moscow and dating from 1866.
The inside is hallmarked on both lid and base with the maker's mark, the Assay Master's mark above the date "1866", the silver standard mark "84" and the Moscow town mark.
The case in very good overall condition, it does have some imperfections, minor indents and wear and a very small split on one rear corner near the end of the hinge.
It measures 150mm x 75mm x 30mm. The weight is 202.2g/7.13oz/6.50ozt
