DescriptionA good quality, Antique, George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Punch Ladle made in Edinburgh and dating from c1807. The ladle with a sterling silver bowl and terminal to a baleen stem. The ladle bowl is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WM" for William Marshall, the Scottish thistle silver mark, the Monarchs's Head duty mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "b" for 1807/08. It measures 11 1/4" inches (290mm) in length. It has a lovely, deep oval shaped bowl measuring 3 1/4" inches (85mm) wide by 2 1/4" inches (60mm). The Ladle is in excellent condition.
