Elegant Lady's 9CT Gold Rotary Wristwatch, c1948
DescriptionAn elegant, vintage, Lady's 9CT Gold Wristwatch by Rotary and dating from c1948.
The 9 carat gold case was made by Dennison and is fully hallmarked with the maker's mark "ALD" for AL Dennison, "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "y" for 1948/49. Also stamped "Dennison, Made in England". The case in excellent condition.
The dial is signed by the maker "Rotary" and also "Swiss made". It has a nice set of gold hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock.
The movement is signed "Swiss made, 15 Jewels" with the Rotary trade mark symbol on the winding wheel.
The watch has a gold mesh bracelet strap.
The case measures approximately 21mm square excluding the crown and lugs. The total weight is 17.0g
