George II, English Silver Gravy / Sauce Boat c1752
DescriptionA good, heavy, George II, English Sterling Silver Gravy Boat or Sauce Boat made in London and dating from c1752. The underside hallmarked with the maker's mark "R.I" for Robert Innes, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "r" for 1752/53. There is a stag's head crest to one side and a bird crest to the other (worn). It is in very good condition. It measures 7 1/2" inches (190mm) in length and 4 1/2" inches (120mm) in height. The weight is 334.3g/11.78oz/10.74ozt
