Antique Silver Mounted Scottish Dirk
DescriptionA very nice antique, silver mounted Scottish Highlander's Dirk dating from c1910.
The silver mount of the dirk is stamped with the maker's mark "W.H.L" (William Henry Leather, Pitsford Street, Birmingham) alongside "STERLING" for sterling silver. Also stamped "Made in Gt. Britain".
The dirk is in good condition overall, but does have some signs of normal wear and tear that is typical with an item that has been used for the intended purpose. There is wear to the rear of the scabbard also the coronet setting on the fork has one of the eight claws missing. There are also some black spots on the dirk blade.
