George III, Scottish Silver Gravy Spoon c1788
DescriptionA superb Antique, George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Gravy, Basting or Stuffing Spoon dating from c1788.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "AG" for Alex Gardner, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the "castle" town mark for Edinburgh and date letter "H" for 1788/89.
The spoon has the engraved initial "N" to the terminal.
It measures just over 12" inches (310mm) in length.
The weight is 97.5g/3.44oz/3.13ozt
It is in excellent condition.
