A nice, Antique, early George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Spoon made by Lothian & Robertson of Edinburgh and dating from c1762. The spoon hallmarked with the maker's mark L&R for Lothian & Robertson, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the "castle" town mark for Edinburgh and date letter for 1762/63. The marks are worn as can be seen. The spoon is in good condition. It measures approximately 8 1/4" inches (215mm) in length and the weight is 67.3g.

They are hallmarked with the maker's mark PR for Patrick Robertson, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the "castle" town mark for Edinburgh and date letter for m for 1766/67. Pair of Silver Spoons, Robertson, Edinburgh c1766
A GOOD SET of SIX STERLING SILVER SPOONS, A very good quality, Set of Six English Sterling Silver Dessert Spoons made in London by Hayne & Cater and retailed by William Ferguson of Elgin. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "SH/DC" for Simon Hayne & Dudley Cater, the Monarch's Head (Queen Victoria) duty mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "N" for 1848/49. The hallmarks accompanied by the mark of the retailer "WF" and "ELGIN". William Ferguson would have ordered these spoons and retailed them from his shop in Elgin where he is recorded as working from 1828. The spoons are in excellent condition. They measure approximately 7" inches (175mm) in length. The total weight approximately 208.6g/7.35oz/6.7ozt. An interesting set of spoons for the collector of Scottish Provincial Elgin silver.

A very nice Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon or large Table Spoon by William Jamieson, Aberdeen c1810. William Jamieson is recorded as working in Aberdeen c1806 - 1840. The spoon is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WJ" (struck twice) for William Jamieson and "ABD" the Aberdeen town mark. It measures just over 8 1/2" inches (220mm) in length. The weight is 61.8g. It is in excellent condition, a lovely addition to any collection, or for use on a special occasion.

It is engraved with the initials to the terminal. It measures just over 6" inches (155mm) in length and is in very good condition.

A GOOD QUALITY SET ANTIQUE SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL SILVER SPOONS, JOHN LESLIE ABERDEEN, A very nice Set of Six Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoons complete with a Masking Spoon by John Leslie, Aberdeen dating from c1790. John Leslie is recorded as working in Aberdeen c1774 - 1821. The accompanying masking spoon is similar to a teaspoon but longer and was used to stir the pot. The spoons are marked with the maker's mark only "IL" for John Leslie of Aberdeen. It is relatively common to find smaller items of Scottish provincial flatware, like teaspoons, to be marked with the maker's mark only. The teaspoons measure just over 125mm in length. The masking spoon is 155mm in length. The total weight is 84.0g. They are in very good condition. It is relatively rare to get a set of six Scottish Provincial teaspoons along with a masking spoon, a lovely addition to any collection.
