ENGLISH STERLING SILVER PRESENTATION TROPHY HIP FLASK, DIXON SHEFFIELD c1925 A good quality, English Sterling Silver Hip Flask. The base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "JD&S" for James Dixon & Sons Limited (Sheffield), the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the crown Sheffield town mark and date letter "h" for 1925/26. The hip flask was presented as the Scotch Terrier Breeders Trophy, awarded to Charles Young in January 1927 (see photo of inscription). The flask is stamped with the capacity 1/2 Pint. It measures 150mm x 100mm x 30mm. The weight is 320.5g. The flask is in good condition with surface scratches to the lower half where it is removed from the cup. A good pair of antique sterling silver Asparagus Serving Tongs made in Sheffield and dating from 1912. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "TB&S" for Thomas Bradbury & Sons Limited, the Lion Passant silver mark, the crown Sheffield town mark and date letter "U" for 1912. The tongs measure 9" inches (230mm) in length. The weight is 158.6g/5.59oz/5.09ozt. An ideal serving piece for us on that special occasion.

A very good quality, Vintage English Sterling Silver Scent Bottle Flask & Funnel in original fitted case. The base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "AW" for A Wilcox (Alfred Nathan Andrews & Harry Stanley Andrews trading as A Wilcox, Nursery Road, Hockley, Birmingham), the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "D" for 1953/54. There is also the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation mark. The front and rear exterior with crisp engine turned engraving. The bottle measures 70mm x 50mm x 12mm. The weight is 61.3g.

A very good, 18th century, George III, English Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop made in London and dating from c1796. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "SH" for Solomon Hougham, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "A" for 1796/97. This marrow scoop is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 9 3/4" inches (248mm) in length. The weight is 47.1g. A lovely example of English Georgian silver for the antique silver collector.

A GOOD QUALITY, ANTIQUE GEORGE III, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER SALVER WAITER TRAY, LONDON c1766. A very good quality, Georgian English Sterling Silver small tray or waiter, made in London by Richard Rugg and dating from c1766. It has very crisp and clear hallmarks, hallmarked with the maker's mark "R.R" for Richard Rugg, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "L" for 1766/67. The silver tray supported on three feet. It is in very good condition. It measures approximately 6" inches (155mm) in diameter. The weight is 188.3g. A lovely item of Georgian English silver, it would make a great addition to any collection.

A GOOD QUALITY, VERY NICE, ANTIQUE GEORGE V, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER TEA LEMON or WINE STRAINER A good quality, antique George V, English Sterling Silver Strainer. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "TB&S" for Thomas Bradbury & Sons, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, Sheffield town mark and date letter "x" for 1915/16. A lovely item, in very good condition. It measures approximately 130mm in length, the bowl is 67mm diameter. The weight is 43.0g.

A GOOD QUALITY, VERY NICE, GEORGE V, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER TEA LEMON or WINE STRAINER A good quality, antique George V, English Sterling Silver Strainer. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "D&JW" for D & J Wellby limited, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, London town mark and date letter "g" for 1922/23. A lovely item, in very good condition. It measures approximately 120mm in length, the bowl is 85mm diameter. The weight is 71.1g.

ANTIQUE GEORGE III, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER LIDDED TANKARD c1764. A very good Antique Georgian English Sterling Silver Lidded Tankard by Simeon Coley, London and dating from c1764. The tankard is hallmarked with the maker's mark "SC" for Simeon Coley, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver Mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "i" for 1764/65. Also hallmarked on the inside of the lid. This is a very good example and in excellent condition. There is a slight indent to the base rim (see photo) It measures 7" inches (180mm) in height. The base just over 5" inches (130mm) in diameter. The weight is 850g/30oz.

A good quality, antique George III, English Sterling Silver Soup Ladle made by Thomas & William Chawner. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "TC/WC" for Thomas & William Chawner, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the "Leopard's head Crowned" London town mark and date letter "P" for 1770/71. The ladle is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 13 3/4" inches (340mm) in length. The total weight approximately 160.3g/5.65oz/5.15ozt. A lovely, large, English sterling silver soup ladle, a great serving piece for the special occasion.

A GOOD ANTIQUE GEORGE II, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER MARROW SCOOP WITH CORONET CREST c1750. A very good, 18th century, George II, English Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop made in London and dating from c1750. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "EC" for Ebenezer Coker, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter. The date letter is rubbed, however I think it is the letter "l" for 1746/47. This "EC" maker's mark was registered in 1745 and in use until around c1757. There are engraved initials below a coronet (crown). Coronets are small crowns specifying the bearer's rank in the peerage. This marrow scoop is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 8 3/4" inches (220mm) in length. The weight is 52.7g. A lovely example of English Georgian silver for the antique silver collector.

NICE ANTIQUE ENGLISH STERLING SILVER CREAM JUG, HALLMARKED BIRMINGHAM. A nice, antique, English Sterling Silver cream Jug made in Birmingham and dating from c1919/20. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "U" for 1919/200. Unfortunately the maker's mark is worn. A very nice jug in good condition, however there are some very minor indents consistent with age and normal use. The jug measures 120mm from spout to handle. It measures 70mm in height. The weight is 140.9g/4.96oz/4.52ozt.

A GOOD ANTIQUE, GEORGE V, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER TEAPOT, BARKER Bros., CHESTER. A good quality, Antique, George V, English Silver Teapot made Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker) and dating from c1913. The teapot is hallmarked with the maker's mark "HEB/FEB" for Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker), the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "N" for 1913/14. It measures approximately 10 1/2 inches (270mm) in length (handle to spout). The weight is 691g/24.4oz. A lovely item, in good condition.
