A very good pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoons or large Tablespoons made by James Erskine of Aberdeen and dating from c1795. James Erskine is recorded as working in Aberdeen c1792 - 1816. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "E" and the "hand and dagger" for James Erskine alongside the "three turrets" town mark for Aberdeen. The spoons are in excellent condition.

They measure 8 1/2" inches (220mm) in length
