A very nice, antique, George IV, Scottish, 18CT Gold Pocket Watch made by RJ & W Marshall, North Bridge, Edinburgh and dating from c1822. The 18CT Gold case is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WM", the "crown" above "18" for 18 carat gold, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "g" for 1822/23. The rear of the case has engine turned engraving with a decorative rim and bezel. The gold dial has the hours in Roman numerals and engine turned engraving to the centre, complete with a lovely pair of original hands. The movement is signed by the maker "RJ & W Marshall, North Bridge, Edinburgh" and has the serial number 1046. It has a lovely engraved balance cock and diamond end stone. It is key wound and set with the key provided. It measures 44mm in diameter. The weight is 94.0g In excellent condition and working order

Scottish 18CT Gold Pocket Watch, Edinburgh c1822
A gentleman's 18CT Gold Hunter Cased Pocket Watch made by Zenith. The English 18CT gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "ALD" for A L Dennison, the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter "U" for 1919/20. The movement signed by the maker "Zenith" alongside the serial number 2536998. Also signed "17 Jewels, Adjusted" and "Swiss Made". This is a very good quality movement. The dial has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed "Zenith, Swiss Made". A lovely pocket watch in excellent condition and working order.

The watch measures 50mm in diameter. The weight is 113.8g

18CT Gold Hunter POcket Watch by Zenith
A very nice, decorative, antique, Swiss Fob Pocket Watch. The decorative, precious yellow metal case is not hallmarked, therefore I cannot sell as gold. The rear of the case is stamped with the maker's mark "FB", another mark that looks to be possible a Swiss control mark and the serial number 63933. The inner cuvette (dust cover) signed "Requier, Lisieux" - Lisieux is a town in France. The outer cover is engraved with a very decorative, floral design and has engraved initials - see photo. The movement is signed by the maker "F Bonn, Geneve". It is a very good quality movement with wolf teeth winding wheels. The dial has the hours in Roman numerals with the minutes marked at 5 min intervals. It is in excellent condition and working order.

The watch is 30mm in diameter.

The case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "RG", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "K" for 1893/94. It also has the serial number 18902 to match the movement. The full plate, English fusee lever movement is in excellent condition and working order. The white dial is in excellent condition, the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock.

A very rare Scottish Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch made by A Dickieson, Edinburgh and dating from c1780. The outer case has some minor damage to the shell covering, some of it is missing and there are some minor cracks, but generally in very reasonable condition considering it is approximately 235 years old ! The inner silver case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "IL" (possibly for John Luff, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "d" for 1779/80. The movement is in good condition and working. It is signed by the maker.
