A nice pair of George III, Antique English Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs made by Peter, Anne & William Bateman in London and dating from c1801/02. They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "PB/AB/WB" for Peter, Anne & William Bateman, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and date letter "F" for 1801/02. They measure just under 5 1/2" inches (140mm) in length. The weight is 31.7g. They are in good condition.

Georgian English Silver Sugar Tongs Bateman London
A very good quality English sterling silver Armada Dish made by the famous Garrard & Co Ltd., The Crown Jewellers, 112 regent Street, London. Garrard & Co hold the Royal Warrant, by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers. The dish hallmarked with the maker's mark G&CoLd for Garrard & Co ltd, the lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter S for 1973/74. The dish measures 4 3/4" inches (120mm) in diameter. The weight is 130.8g. It is complete with the original box and packaging as supplied new by Garrard & Co. Also the original leaflet explaining the history and story of The Armada Dish. A lovely piece of English silver that would make an excellent gift for that special occassion.

An unusual, antique, Victorian, novelty silver dish in the form of a Viking longship or longboat, datong from c1898. It is hallmarked with the maker's mark (mark worn), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "C" for 1898/99. The base is stamped with the prestigious London retailer's name Goldsmiths Company, 112 Regent Street. It is in very good condition. It measures approximately 120mm in length. The weight is 78.7g

Victorian Novelty Silver Viking Longship Dish
A very nice English Sterling Silver card Case made by Joseph Willmore. The bottom of the case hallmarked with the maker's mark JW for Joseph Willmore, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the Lion Passant sterling silver mark. No date letter or town mark, however Joseph Willmore is recorded as using this mark in Birmingham from 1797. The Monarch's Head indicating it is pre Victorian, therefore the case dates from 1797 to 1836. The case has very nice engine turned engraving to both front and rear with plain silver sides. A lovely card case in very nice condition, with only some very minor indents at the corner. It measures 95mm x 70mm x 9mm. The weight is 82.2g.

English Silver Card Case, J Willmore c1820
A good quality English sterling silver Whisky Tumbler Cup. The tumbler is hallmarked with the maker's mark W&W for Wakely & Wheeler, the Lion passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter C for 1958/59. The underside of the base has the original retailer's name, Payne & Son, Oxford. Payne & Son were established in 1790 and after eight generations is still in existence today, run by members of the same family. It measures approximately 57mm in diameter, 45mm in height and the weight is 66.3g. A really nice item, it would make an excellent gift for a whisky lover. Great for someone to enjoy a dram of Scottish single malt whisky (or gin, vodka, rum) on a special occasion.

An Edwardian sterling silver Golfing Trophy Cup made by Walker & Hall, Sheffield dating from c1908. The trophy hallmarked with the maker's mark W&H for Walker & hall, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the crown town mark for Sheffield and date letter p for 1907/08. The trophy engraved: West Park Golf Club, Captain's Prize, Easter 1909, Won by Miss D. Lindsay Smith, 93-18=75. The trophy is in good condition. It measures approximately 7 1/2" inches (200mm) in height. The weight is 246.2g.

Edwardian Silver West Park Golf Club Trophy
A small, Antique, Victorian English Silver Mug, made in London and dating from c1882. This lovely small mug was probably a christening mug originally. It is free of engravings or any form of personal inscriptions. The mug hallmarked with the maker's mark "WE" for William Evans, the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter G for 1882/83. It is in very good condition. It does have a couple of minor flat spots to the base edge rim, however nothing untoward and excellent condition for age. It measures 3" inches (77mm) in height. It is of slightly tapered form, measuring 60mm diameter at the base and 55mm diameter at the top. The capacity is approximately 7oz (190ml).
