A nice, antique, Victorian English Sterling Silver Pocket Watch dating from c1893. The sterling silver case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "JH", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "t" for 1893/94. The case with nice engine turned engraving to the rear and a central cartouche that is free of engraved initials. The white enamel dial has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is in good condition. The movement has the serial number 2818 to match the case, proving both are original and have been together since new. It is key wound and set with the key provided and is in good working order. The watch measures 52mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 138.3g

Antique Victorian English Silver Pocket Watch 1893
A very nice, good quality, antique, Victorian Sterling Silver Pocket Watch made by Alexander Brownlee, Edinburgh and dating from c1876. The sterling silver case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "HS" for the case maker, Henry Stuart, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "n" for 1876/77. The case with nice engine turned engraving to the rear and a central cartouche that is free of engraved initials. The white enamel dial has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is in good condition, but does have some very minor faint hairlines. The fusee movement is signed by the maker "Alexr. Brownlee, Edinburgh" and has the serial number 70912 to match the case, proving both are original and have been together since new. It is key wound and set with the key provided. The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 111.0g

An "Arcadia" model, gold plated pocket watch made by the Swiss Fleurier Watch Company. The watch in good condition and working order. The gold plated case has engine turned engraving and a circular cartouche to the rear that is free of engraved initials. It was made by the Philadelphia Watch case Company, USA. The rear cover screws off to reveal the movement. The movement is signed by the maker "Fleurier Watch Co., " and also "7 Jewels, 2 Adjustments". The dial with Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock, signed "Arcadia". The watch measures 49mm in diameter.

A very nice antique, Swidd made, Fob Pocket Watch dating from c1880 and in working order. The decorative silver case is stamped "0.935" alongside Swiss control marks, a slightly higher grade than the English sterling silver (0.925). It has lovely decorative engraving to the rear. The dial has the hours in Roman numerals and decoration to the centre and outer chapter. It is in good condition with some faint hairlines as can be seen. A good quality, antique, Victorian Gentleman's 18CT Gold, Swiss made, Pocket Watch retailed in London by William Sommer and dating from c1890. The 18 carat gold case is stamped "K18" on rear cover and inner cuvette. The case has engine turned engraving and a central cartouche to the rear that is free of engraving or personal inscriptions. The case is in very good condition, however does have some small indents. The inner cuvette has been engraved by the original retailer: "Examined by Wm Sommer, 288 Brixton Hill, London S.W." The 3/4 plate Swiss movement is in excellent condition and in full working order. It is stem wound and pin set. The white enamel dial has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. It measures 49mm in diameter across the case. The weight is 84.2g

A nice Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch made in Birmingham and dating from c1841. This is a nice collector's item, it is not in working order and does have some imperfections. The outer silver case is in good condition. It is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "JW", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "S" for 1841/42. The movement is unsigned by the maker, but not currently in working order therefore in need of repair/restoration. The dial has some hairlines as can be seen. Overall a nice example of an old verge fuse pocket watch.

A lovely, very good quality, 18CT Gold Hunter Fob Pocket Watch in immaculate condition and working order. The 18CT solid gold case stamped "18K" for 18 carat gold alongside the serial number 15660 and Swiss control marks. It also has the retailers name engraved on the inner cuvette - F M Moor, Dublin & Belfast. Francis M Moore was an Irish Clock, Watch and Chronometer maker recorded as operating from premises at 23 Eden Quay, Dublin c1868-1880. The rear of the case has engraved initials. The very good quality, Swiss made movement is in good condition and working order. The white enamel dial in excellent condition, with the hours in Roman numerals. Overall a lovely example in excellent condition and working order. The watch measures 35mm across the case. The weight is 41.1g

A very good Antique, Swiss made, Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in good condition, however not currently in working order. This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time and is not currently working. It is therefore being sold as in need of service/repair. The plain silver case is hallmarked with the maker's mark "SF", the Lion Passant mark for sterling silver, alongside the Chester town import mark and date letter "h" for 1871/72. The case also has the serial number 34277 to match the movement, proving both are original and have been together since new. The case is in very good condition. The inner cuvette (dust cover) has the name and address of a previous, probably the original owner engraved above the date 1873. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals. The Swiss made movement is not in working order, although the balance swings freely. The watch measures 56mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 175.6g. A good example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch, a nice addition to any collection.

It is stamped with the case maker's name "Dennison Watch Case Co" and hallmarked with the maker's mark "ALD" for Aaron Lufkin Dennison, the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the "anchor" Birmingham town mark and date letter "S" for 1917/18. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. The good quality, high grade, 17 Jewels, P S Bartlett, Waltham movement is in excellent working order. It is signed by the maker "P S Bartlett, Waltham Mass" and "17 Jewels, adjusted". It has a lovely damaskeened finish. It also has a micro-metric regulator. All signs of a very good watch. The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown).
